義大犀牛昨晚將士用命，以6比3擊敗地主統一獅，硬是不讓Lamigo桃猿把上半季封王的魔術數字歸零，只能停在M1。洋投羅力用98球投完8局，只被敲3支安打，送出7K、無失分，拿下第8勝（2敗），在勝投排行榜並列第2，且獲選單場MVP。獅隊苦吞3連敗，淘汰指數歸零，正式與上半季冠軍說再見。
義大火力全開，擊出14支安打，攻下6分；獅隊則受制於羅力的封鎖，攻勢一籌莫展。本季羅力對於獅隊一向得心應手，7場對戰拿下5勝，且已連續18局無失分，堪稱獅隊剋星。
打擊方面，義大先發9棒僅林瑋恩摃龜，其他人都有安打；其中陽冠威改守一壘，5打數敲出3安打猛打賞演出。胡金龍1局上二壘打，3局上四壞球，5局上中外野飛球被接殺，個人連續7打數安打紀錄中止。
獅隊直到9局下羅力退場休息，才從後援投手林正豐手中打破鴨蛋；買家儀率先擊出2分全壘打，郭俊佑補上陽春彈，個人本季首轟出爐，獅隊一口氣扳回3分。不過前8局失分太多，終場義大仍以6比3獲勝，成功阻擋猿隊封王。
今天雙方仍在台南球場交手，義大以日前才從韓職回歸的洋投希克先發，獅隊則由小將江辰晏把關。如果義大輸球，猿隊一定封王；即使義大再贏獅隊，猿隊只要贏球仍可奪冠。
